I have substantial skills and experience with Citrix gained over more than 20 years. I have worked as a Citrix SME contracting to companies including: IBM, Datacom, Fujitsu, Western Sydney University, University of Technology, NSW Department of Education and others.

The Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop products or Microsoft RDS have some inherent qualities that make them ideal in a high security environment.

I know of plenty of use cases where Citrix offers unique security and other benefits. Citrix executes the application in a session on a server within your computer room. The data never leaves the computer room. The Citrix client software can even be set up so that taking a screen shot will just leave a black space where the Citrix client is on the screen.

At the end of a Citrix session no part of the session is left on the client computer.

Citrix Printing

I have seen more problems with Citrix printing than any other feature. Get it right and it works fine, get it wrong and you will face dozens of spooler crashes per day.
